We LOVE to geocache…we are muggles no more! It’s become an annual tradition on my birthday for a family day trip somewhere to geocache along the way. We do it randomly all year as well, and want to share it with all our friends! I’ve found so many people who love it too, today I discovered that a fellow cloth-diapering family loves it like we do! She wrote about it  [ Read More ]

I have this basket. It’s a great basket. It always has in it things that I love…throw blankets, hats and scarves, my baby’s toys…and today? What’s in the basket you ask? It’s blocks. Wooden alphabet blocks, little ones and bigger ones; a wooden set of building blocks and foam alphabet puzzle pieces. It’s a basket full of blocks. And those blocks have endless possibilities. We build tall towers. We build  [ Read More ]

sweet condensed milk into caramel sauce

Take a can of sweetened condensed milk, remove the label, and boil it unopened over low heat in a saucepan of water for 1.5-2 hours. Open. Mix. Dip. Simple and great topper for ice cream, cheesecake or dipper for apples!

Sometimes I just love watching him play. He is showing such an imagination lately and he loves to sing and act out with his favorite movies too. It’s fun to watch him be a kid.

In honor of President’s Day this week and my husband’s love for Presidential history, I am making a meal plan for this week based on many of our Presidents’ favorite foods. I look forward to doing this each year and while my kids grow up, making it into a history lesson…yup, I’m one of those Moms!

Build!

There is one activity that Caedmon loves to do with Mom and Dad…but he won’t do it on his own at all. That is building. He has a big bucket of blocks and loves to build with us after dinner just before cleanup and bathtime. The other night, Dale introduced different toys into the building process…his Toy Story figurines, and Caedmon had a blast making a fortress for Buzz and  [ Read More ]

Nineteen

I love watching Caedmon play…his imagination is growing and he makes more and more sense during play everyday…making animal noises, reading books by recognizing letters or colors or even telling a story based on his memory or the pictures he sees. It’s so neat to watch him grow! I take a picture every day of our everyday life and share it with you here on my blog…won’t you join me?  [ Read More ]

Eleven

So I’ve decided that whenever I am having a cranky day and I can’t seem to get over it, I need to play with my Caedmon, do something organized with him, a project or something. Some days, we make playdough and play with it, some days we go to the park and play, somedays we color amazing crayon creations…but today, it was baking cookies. He’s just getting old enough to  [ Read More ]

I love sitting like a fly on the wall watching Caedmon play with his toys. Lately his favorites have been his big “liony and inosaur”. He loves taking his animals and lining them up and counting them…one two four five six seven eight nine…eleven! He’s so confident when he counts, it kills me! His creativity and imagination are inspiring, I remember being there and totally want to go back…but for  [ Read More ]

I was about 5 and very concerned that Santa couldn’t find me and  [ Read More ]
